一、一般说来，some用于肯定句 ， any用于否定句和疑问句 。例如：
She wants some chalk.
She doesn’t want any chalk.
二、any可与not以外其他有否定含义的词连用，表达否定概念 。例如：
He never had any regular schooling.
三、any可以用于表达疑问概念的条件句中 。例如：
If you have any trouble, please let me know.
四、在下列场合，some也可用于疑问句 。
1、说话人认为对方的答复将是肯定的 。例如：
Are you expecting some visitors this afternoon?(说话人认为下午有人要求，所以用some)
Are you expecting any visitors this afternoon?(说话人不知道下午是否有人来 ， 所以用any)
Didn’t you give him some tickets?(说话人认为票已经给他了 。问题的回答是：Sure I did)
Did you give him any tickets?(说话人不知道是否给票了 。回答可能是yes或no 。)
2、款待用语或问句的实质等于提出一个要求并希望得到肯定的回答时 。例如：
Won’t you have some more tea?
Could you get me some clips?
这类用语中的some不能用any代替 。
3、在“Let me know if you need any help.”这类条件句中，可用some代替any 。
用any表示说话人完全不知道对方是否需要帮助，或表示说话人愿意向对方提供无限量的帮助 。
Let me know if you need help.
用some 则表示提供对方某种程度的、确定的帮助，或者表示期待肯定的回答 。

一般来讲some用于肯定句，而any用于否定句和疑问句 ， 但是有以下例外：
1)any可以用在肯定的条件从句中，例如：
If there is any mistake, please let me know.

在实际上含否定意思的肯定句中要用any，例如可与 never ， without ， hardly，prevent等词连用 。在与if连用的句子中 ， some和amy均可用 。

There's hardly anytea left.几乎没剩下什么茶 。

2.特别当我们谈到不确定的、未肯定的、未知的数目或数量时，用some和any 。试比较：

You' ve got beautiful toes.你的脚指头真漂亮 。(假如某人说"You've got some beautiful toes，这就意味着哪几个脚指头是漂亮的还不能肯定—也许六个或七个，但不是全部十个 。)

3.some和any可以用作代词
“Beer?"—“Thanks，I've got some!”“酒?”—“谢谢，我有一些 。
“Did you get the oil?”—“No，they hadn't got any.”“你弄到油了吗?”—“没有 ， 他们一点也没有 。”
在另一限定词(冠词，指示词或物主词)或代词前，我们用some of和 any of。

要表达no的含义，不能单独用any;需用not来表达否定的意思 。
典型错误： I had anyideas; my head was completely empty.
应为:I didn't have anyideas…或 I had no ideas…)
2some和any的用法怎么区分一、some和any作为形容词或代词，可以用来说明或代替复数名词或不可数名词，表示不定量，意为“一些” ， 其区别是：对其所说明或代替的名词持肯定态度时 ， 用some;持非肯定(否定或疑问)态度时 ， 用any 。
在以下句子中使用some：
1.肯定句(包括肯定的陈述句和祈使句以及反意疑问句中肯定的陈述部分) 。如：
There are some new books on the teacher's desk.
We have a lot of sugar. Take some with you, please.

Jim hardly makes any mistakes in his homework.

She was too poor to buy any new clothes.
3.一般疑问句(持肯定态度的除外) 。如：
Did she buy any tomatoes yesterday?
I want some paper. Do you have any?
4.条件状语从句 。如：
If you are looking for any ink, you can find it on my desk.
If there are any good apples there, get me two kilos, please.
因为条件句“如果……”表达的也是不肯定的态度 。所以，如果说话者持肯定的态度或期待得到肯定的答复时，则可以用some 。如：
Bring me two pieces of paper if you have some.
5.whether/if(是否)引导的名词从句 。如：
It is still unknown whether they have found any proof.
He asked if he could drink any cool water.
二、some还可表示“某些”或用在单数名词前表示“某一个” 。any则可用于表示“任何一些”或“(至少3个中)任何一个”，二者均可用于肯定或非肯定的句子中 。如：
I don't like some of them.
He is working at some place in the north.
Any criminal(s) will be punished.
You can take any of these.
三、some和any也可作为副词，用于比较级前，表示程度，意为“稍许，几分”，用法与其作形容词或代词表示“一些”时基本相同 。如：

田里有一些牛吗?
There won't be any trouble.(修饰不可数名词)

2. 用于条件状语从句

3. any 用于肯定句时，通常要重读，修饰单数可数名词和不可数名词 。
